The Spitfires are expecting the season's biggest crowd Saturday night night as they take on the Kitchener Rangers at The WFCU Centre.
They're asking fans to consider parking in one of the 900 free spots added this season in the former “Lear Lot” or to take a FREE shuttle from one of their restaurant partner locations, or Transit Windsor's service from Tecumseh Mall.
It's a busy day all around at the venue, with the OHL's 'Battle of the Border' tournament taking place during the day on the Community Rinks side.
“The best bet is to park for FREE in the new overflow lot or to grab a shuttle,” says Spitfires spokesman, Steve Horne. “Between the tournament during the day and the crowd we're anticipating at our game, there will be a lot of activity around the building. The overflow parking and shuttle services are designed to provide our fans maximum convenience and the start of a great game day experience.”
Fans can access the overflow parking lot from the entrance on Lauzon Rd., directly across from the Tim Hortons location.
AM800's coverage of Saturday night's game begins at 6:30pm with the pre-game show.
