The city of Windsor is sending out a warning to parents on the first day back to school.
City parking enforcement officers will be out this morning reminding parents about the rules of parking, dropping off or picking up their kids from school.
Parking Enforcement Supervisor Bill Krolovensky says they want parents to use the designated drop-off points.
"If you drop your child off, if the the school is on one side and you drop them off on the other side of the street, kids dart out in between cars. It becomes a real safety hazard, big time."
He says officers will be warning parents the first couple of days but after that tickets will be issued.
Krolovensky says Massey High School was a 'hot spot' last year.
"The last year at Massey high school we had a few of them that knew the officers by name. Some of them were paying $30 a day just to drop their kids off."
The fine for stopping or parking in a no-stopping zone is $30 to $40.
