The Progressive Conservative government says public consultations will begin next month on several education issues, including the sex-education curriculum.
The Tories say the consultations will include an online survey, telephone townhalls and a submission platform where the government will accept detailed proposals.
Meanwhile, parents are being invited to anonymously report their concerns about education to the Ford government, using a website critics dubbed a "snitch line."
Premier Doug Ford also said teachers should use a "revised interim curriculum" his government has posted online — or face consequences if the now repealed curriculum is used.
Sam Hammond, president of the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario, accuses the government of "manufacturing a crisis" instead of addressing issues like school underfunding.
