A Chatham area man faces a number of charges after being stopped shoplifting at the Chatham Walmart store.
The 55-year-old Tilbury man is charged with theft under $5,000 as well as breaching a probation condition to stay out of all Walmarts.

Yesterday afternoon the suspect loaded up a shopping cart with $800 worth of items and left the store without making any attempt to pay.
A Chatham-Kent police officer was in the store's security office at the time and watched the event.
A 33-year-old Windsor woman who had entered the store with the man was also stopped trying to remove items without paying and also faces a charge.
