The Erie Otters continue to show they're the team to beat at the Mastercard Memorial Cup.
The Otters crushed the Saint John Sea Dogs 12-5 Monday night at the WFCU Centre.
The 12 goal outburst set a Memorial Cup record for goals scored in a game.
The previous record was 11 goals.
Otters captain Dylan Strome also set a Memorial Cup record with his seven point night.
The Otters are now 2 and 0 while the Sea Dogs drop to 0 and 2.
The Sea Dogs square off against the Seattle Thunderbirds Tuesday night. The winner will head to the semi-final game on Friday.
The Otters are off until Wednesday when they battle the 2 and 0 hometown Windsor Spitfires.
