A 29-year-old Leamington woman is facing more than 20 criminal property and bail violation offences.
Provincial police say on Tuesday, August 4 officers were conducting proactive patrols and arrested the woman after she was caught breaking into a vehicle on Cheyenne Court.
According to police, the woman has been charged with property related offences on several occasions in recent weeks, each time involving thefts from unlocked vehicles.
The woman remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police are asking Leamington residents to lock their car doors, remove all valuables visible inside the vehicle and close their garage doors overnight.
Officers in Leamington recently reported seeing seven garage doors left open in one subdivision during an overnight patrol.
