OPP are investigating after a 13-year-old girl was bitten twice on her leg by a dog in Cottam.
It happened Saturday around 2pm at the corner of Francis St. and Clark St.
Police say the girl was walking with a friend when she passed by a man and girl who were walking three dogs. That's when police say one of the dogs broke free and ran up behind the 13-year-old and bit her two times. The girl didn't realize the bites punctured her skin, and that she was bleeding, until after she got home. Her wounds were treated at a local clinic.
Police are looking to speak with the dog's owner, a man believed to be in his 30's. The girl he was walking with is thought to be around 10 or 11 years old.
The dog in question is described as a light brown dachshund. The two other dogs are described as a medium sized white dog with curly hair, and the other as a 'little' dog.
