Two North York, Ontario men are in hot water after fleeing from the OPP in Essex.
Provincial police say the incident took place on Monday on County Road 20 in Harrow as officers were attempting to stop a vehicle for speeding.
Police say as the vehicle pulled over but the passenger fled on foot and the vehicle continued westbound through the town.
The OPP located the passenger in the area and arrested him for controlled drugs and substances act offences.
Police say a short time later the vehicle was seen by Amherstburg police in the area of County Roads 11 and 18.
Again, the vehicle failed to stop for Amherstburg police.
Police say the vehicle was last seen heading into a parking lot on County Road 12.
According to police, the driver fled on foot but was contained to the area by officers.
The OPP Canine unit along with the Emergency Response Team attended the scene and located the driver.
He was taken into custody.
21-year-old Prince Charles has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police and driving while suspended. He'll appear in a Windsor court on January 9th.
Police also charged 21-year-old Tracey Walker. He's been charged with two counts of possession. Walker will appear in a Windsor court on January 8th.
