Another driver in Essex County has been arrested for drug impaired driving.
Essex OPP received a call from a concerned motorist Thursday morning about an erratic driver on Talbot Street, just outside the Town of Essex.
The driver was travelling at a high rate of speed, passing vehicles and crossing the centre line into oncoming traffic.
The suspect vehicle was pulled over and police say the driver showed signs of impairment by drug and was arrested at the scene.
A 30-year-old Lakeshore man is charged with driving while ability impaired by drug.
He will appear in a Windsor court on December 2, 2018 to answer to the charge.
Essex County OPP is thanking the public for their support in removing impaired drivers from area roadways.
"The public's support is vital for we, as the police to be able to do our job and protect our citizens" says Commander Inspector Glenn Miller. "We thank those that continue to call in suspected impaired drivers and encourage you to notify the police whenever you feel another driver's ability is in question. Impaired driving, whether by alcohol or drug, will NOT be tolerated!"
