A Windsor man has been arrested following a home invasion over the weekend.
Police were called to a home on Dougall Ave., a couple of blocks west of Jackson Park, Saturday at 9:15pm for an assault that had just occurred.
The 46-year-old victim was suffering from severe injuries to his head, arm and leg and taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Police say there was a verbal argument between the victim and a man known to the victim.
The man left, but returned with another man, and both men entered the victim's home carrying weapons.
The victim was then allegedly struck with the weapon several times.
One of the suspects took some items from the victim's pocket and left.
Police say the assault was targeted and not random.
Around 3:30am on Monday, officers arrested one of the suspects on Tournier St. at Baby St.
A 23-year-old Windsor man is charged with aggravated assault and robbery.
The second suspect has been identified by investigators and is being sought.
