Windsor police have arrested one person but are looking for a second in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.
In August 2026, members of the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit (DIGS) began an investigation into an individual suspected of trafficking illegal drugs.
As a result of the investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 100 block of Montrose Street and an associated vehicle.
Shortly before 9 p.m. on September 2, police entered the home and arrested a 23-year-old man.
A search of the home and vehicle resulted in the seizure of 45.1 grams of cocaine, 45.7 grams of fentanyl, a loaded A-75 .45-calibre handgun, a .45-calibre magazine and ammunition, $164 in Canadian currency, $25 in U.S. currency, two cellular phones, and three digital scales.
The total street value of the drugs seized is estimated at $7,252.
The 23-year-old suspect is facing 22 charges, including 12 counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited, four counts of failing to comply with a probation order, two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm without a license, contravention of section 117(H) of the Firearms Act Regulation, and failure to comply with a release order.
An arrest warrant has been issued for a second suspect connected to the investigation.
21-year-old Kaelyn Cazabon is wanted on eight charges, including two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, along with several firearms-related charges and a charge of failure to comply with a release order.
