Canada's Olympic star Penny Oleksiak has won bronze in the 100m freestyle at the world short-course swimming championships at the WFCU Centre.
The 16-year-old from Toronto finished third in the event in which she won gold at the Summer Games in Rio.
Her time was 52.01 seconds -- a Canadian record.
Oleksiak admits she struggled the last 25 metres.
"The last leg was pretty tough just because everything was like, numb. It was kinda hard the last 25 but I just put everything I could into it. Should've taken out one breath, maybe two."
Oleksiak says she's enjoying the competition in Windsor.
"Definitely been just trying to learn this week and trying to work on skills."
The medal was Canada's fourth of the meet.
