According to police, the victim and suspect knew each other
A Windsor police officer is facing assault charges stemming from an alleged incident while he was off-duty.
The victim reported being assaulted sometime between May 20 and May 21 and when reporting it to police, said that non-life threatening injuries were sustained.
According to police, the victim and suspect knew each other.
The suspect was later identified as a Windsor police officer who was not on duty at the time if the incident.
Dejan Djurovic, a Windsor Police Service Constable with three years seniority, is charged with assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement, assault/choking and mischief under $5,000.
He has been suspended from duty and is scheduled to appear in court September 22nd.
