The closure is part of ongoing streetscaping
Another road closure along Ouellette Ave. in Windsor.
The northbound lanes of Ouellette are now closed between Tuscarora St. and Elliott St. as part of ongoing streetscaping.
Project Manager Jane He says along with this new closure, Ouellette Ave. southbound remains closed from Elliott St. to Wyandotte St. E.
"The new closure is taking place to accelerate the project," says He. "We agreed to temporarily close northbound once the southbound work is completed and the southbound will open to traffic, we will close all northbound between Wyandotte to Elliott."
Detour signs will be posted for non-local traffic.
The $5.6 million project includes reducing the number of lanes to two from four, adding a raised median island, new sidewalks, landscaping and on-street parking.
