The deadline for those interested in running in October's municipal election has passed.
Those that wanted to run had until 2 p.m. on Friday to file their nomination papers.
In Windsor, Manager of Elections and Records Chuck Scarpelli says unofficially, 94 candidates are running in the municipal election.
Incumbent Drew Dilkens is running against four people for the Mayor's seat. Frank Dyck, Tom Hensel, Ernie Lamont and Matt Marchand are also running for the Mayor's job.
Scarpelli adds a number of candidates stepped forward on Friday.
"We have processed approximately 15 more candidates just today alone which was Friday July 27th," says Scarpelli. "So it's been a very busy day today. We had approximately eight candidates for school board and seven of them were for city council."
Scarpelli adds the list will be official by the end of the day on Monday.
"The next step that has to happen is the city clerk needs to certify those nomination papers," says Scarpelli. She has until 4pm on Monday July 30th to do that."
In 2014, 99 candidates ran in Windsor for city council or school board trustee.
