The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) is reporting 11 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths, but outbreaks at long-term health care facilities are up.

Monitoring continues at all 44 long term care homes in Essex County and outbreak protocols have been implemented at affected homes, according to WECHU.
Essex County's total now sits at 705 positive tests and 59 dead — 266 people have made a full recovery — making the total active cases in the community 380.
A total of 10,893 people have been tested for COVID-19 locally with 1,668 tests pending, according to the WECHU.
Health officials in Ontario announced the lowest number of cases since March for a second consecutive day.
The latest numbers from CTV News show 294 new cases in Ontario for a total of 20,238 and 35 more deaths for a total of 1,634 dead — there are 1,050 new cases of the virus Canada-wide for a total of 68,752 and 4,870 deaths.
According to CTV, 31,911 people have recovered from the virus across Canada.
The total active cases nationwide are 31,971 as of 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
