The Leafs and Red Wings will play a homeandhome
The countdown is on to the 2018-19 NHL season.
Teams have started rolling out their pre-season schedules this week.
The Detroit Red Wings will open the preseason on September 19 against the Pittsburgh Penguins, followed by matchups against Chicago and Boston, wrapping up with a home-and-home series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Leafs first pre-season game, will be played September 18th vs. Ottawa, in Lucan — the small town north of London won Kraft Hockeyville.
Toronto’s pre-season opponents include the Senators, Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings.
