A four-time Stanley Cup champion is retiring from the NHL.
Chris Kunitz announced his retirement on Tuesday after 15 seasons in the league.
The 39-year-old Regina native, who played for Chicago last season, will stay with the Blackhawks as a player development adviser.
Kunitz won the Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007 and with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009, 2016 and 2017.
He finishes his NHL career with 268 goals, 351 assists and 619 points in 1,022 regular-season games. Internationally, he won gold with Canada's 2014 Olympic team and silver at the 2008 world championship.

In off-season movement, the Ottawa Senators traded goalie Mike Condon to the Tampa Bay Lightning for the contract of veteran forward Ryan Callahan.
With one season left on his contract, Callahan was placed on long-term injured reserve after suffering a career-ending back injury and a degenerative back disease diagnosis this past season.
The Senators will also receive Tampa Bay's fifth-round draft pick in the 2020 NHL Draft while the Lightning will receive Ottawa's sixth-round selection.
