The Chiefs and Patriots kickoff the 2017 NFL season this evening in New England
The New England Patriots kick off a new season tonight in the afterglow of a Super Bowl title. Seven months after completing the largest comeback in Super Bowl history, the Patriots will raise the franchise's fifth championship banner before hosting the Kansas City Chiefs in the N-F-L season-opener.
New England overcame a 25-point deficit to beat Atlanta for the championship in February.
The NFL game between Miami and Tampa Bay is being postponed due to Hurricane Irma. The game was originally scheduled to take place at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday at one o'clock.
The Dolphins and Buccaneers will now play in Miami on November 19th when both teams were scheduled to have a bye.
The Lions open their regular season Sunday at Ford Field against Arizona.
