There's a new place for kids in Essex to cool off.
A new Essex Centre Splash Pad opened Tuesday at 60 Fairview Ave. featuring a fun sports theme.
It is open seven days a week until the end of August.
"With splash pads in Harrow and Colchester, we are excited to provide this amenity to residents of Essex Centre," says Doug Sweet, director of community services in Essex.
