Good news for people who struggle to find transportation to the Unemployed Help Centre.
People who use any of the organizations 24 programs, now have a direct mode of transportation to the Cantelon Dr. location.
The 'Do Good Divas' have been unveiled as the presenting sponsor of a new 20-seat shuttle — part of the new "Shuttling For Success program."
Unemployed Help Centre CEO, June Muir says prior to the shuttle, clients were taking the bus.
"If you're a single mom and you have to drop kids off at daycare then jump back on the bus, come out here to take a program or access one of our services, you're looking at two hours — that's a long time," says Muir.

'Do Good Divas' President, Gail Simko-Hatfield says the group typically supports health related programs.
"We felt that it would have great benefit to tour community, not just in the city but in the county as well, to help clients come in to the Unemployed Help Centre for the benefit of the programs," says Simko-Hatfield. "And to us, that does help the overall health of our community."
Simko-Hatfield adds, the group felt the program helps with the overall health of the community, saying "by getting people up and independent and getting employment and the skills that they need, it just raises the level of confidence for all the clients and it raises the health of our community in a way that we like to support."
The total cost of the shuttle is $50,000 — the Diva's presented the Unemployed Help Centre with a cheque for $20,000 with the $30,000 balance to be raised from the groups upcoming signature event, "A Girls Night Out In Handbag Heaven."
The 'Do Good Divas' is a local non-profit organization committed to bettering the community.
