Essex County OPP have a new K9 team of handler and dog to replace the one recently transferred to another location.
There's a new K-9 unit in Essex County.
Provincial Police have announced "Maximus" and his handler, Constable Milan Matovski are on the job.
Maximus is a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix originally from Hungary.
Constable Matovski is a 10-year veteran of the OPP who has been in Essex County for 3 years.
They replace Constable Dan Harness and "Valor" who have recently transferred to another OPP Detachment.
