The next phase of a $70-million renovation is underway at Devonshire Mall.
More seating, new vendors and a brighter space are on tap for a new food court.
Temporary barricades are up for the project that should be completed by the summer of 2018, but the barricades will do more than cordon off the construction area.
They will feature artist renderings of the space, a TV cycling photos of the mall in various stages of development, and peek holes to monitor progress.
This will be the largest renovation for the facility in the last 20 years, according to a statement by general manager Chris Savard.
Construction will continue in several phases through 2019, but mall will remain open throughout the renovation process.
