Windsor's Planning, Heritage and Economic Development Advisory Committee is waiting for more information before approving a new subdivision along Riverside Dr. between Martinique Dr. and Mountbatton Cres.
Plans call for 19 single-detached homes.
The committee has ordered a flooding study for the area and a traffic calming study on Martinique.
Retired Windsor Police Chief Glenn Stannard lives on Mountbatton and is looking forward to the information. "The engineers are talking about flow of sewage water, flow of storm water, a lot of us don't understand that and they have information they have yet to get, they'll give us and we'll meet with them on that. So hopefully it will satisfy the residents and construction could proceed."
Stannard says he's lived on Mountbatton since 2003 and has been flooded once. Others have been flooded two or three times.
The proposal returns to the committee once the studies are complete.
