Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens says construction on the new city hall is ahead of schedule.
He says crews have been able to work throughout the winter months without missing many days.
Dilkens says he's pleased with how construction has gone so far.
"I would actually say it's ahead of schedule right now because they've lost very few days (to weather)," says Dilkens.
He says the project is ahead of schedule.
"Hopefully we don't lose any days in the summer time. But as soon as they get closed in and the interior work starts, things will go a lot faster because there's no inclement weather they have to deal with," says Dilkens.
He says progress is being made at the site.
"If you drive by every day or two, you can see the amazing construction that's going on because the steel girders they just keep going up. We're still on target to be in there for May of 2018," says Dilkens
The $32-million, five-storey building includes a number of green features along with a large atrium, council chamber and artistic lighting.
Construction started last June.
