The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association has a new chair and vice chair.
Brian Yeomans from Best Western Plus and Holiday Inn Express has been named chair.
He has worked in the downtown core for almost 27-years and replaces Larry Horwitz.
Yeomans says he's looking forward to the opportunity.
"Downtown Windsor kind of always had an amazing place in my heart," says Yeomans. "I moved here when I was in my early 20's and pretty much worked in downtown on and off every since and just have always loved being involved with downtown."
He adds the BIA will focus on a number of areas.
"Certain that retail is a big aspect," says Yeomans. "Bringing people downtown both for retail, just for living, walking knowing what's already downtown that's what we want to see more of and so that's going to be our main focus."
Pat Papadeas of Rose City Politics is the new Vice Chair.
Other board members include Brian Datoc from Craft Heads Brewing Company, Geoff Zanetti from Villains Pub, Dave Prantera from Bread Meats Bread, Stephanie Clark from Toasty's Grilled Cheese, Liam O'Donnell from Dr. Disc Records and ward 3 city councillor Rino Bortolin.
Horwitz remains on the board as past chair.
