Ward 8 in the city of Windsor has a new candidate.
Lisa Valente filed her nomination papers on Thursday.
Valente works in the medical field as a PSW placement co-ordintor and also owns uP Media.
In a release, Valente says she "wishes to continue to meet the very high bar which Bill Marra set during his time on council."
Marra announced earlier this year, he will not seek re-election.
Also running in ward 8 are Patti Hayes, Gary Kaschak, Greg Lemay and Kathryn MacDonell.
The municipal election is October 22nd.
