It's back to the drawing board for the marketing team developing a new branding strategy for the town of Amherstburg.
After a study that cost taxpayers $76,000, Ottawa and Hamilton-based, Cinnamon Toast New Media unveiled a new logo and tag line to council Monday night.

Councillor Don McArthur says the majority of council wasn't "wowed by the design" and would like to see more options.
He says the public wasn't in favour either.
"I put a survey on my website, put it on Facebook, put it on Twitter. I think we can do better," says McArthur. 'Big Mike' in McGregor, on Twitter, he actually said we can do better. It's an exciting process trying to rebrand a town as exciting as Amherstburg."
He says more input from the community is a must because that's what the logo will represent.
"They have a couple other mock ups. Let's have a look as that, get the public involved, get it to our committees to see what they think about it. I think, things like this, your first iteration might not be your best," says McArthur. "So let's take some time, let's get it right and let's really hear what the community has to say."
Cinnamon Toast New Media is going to offer up two more logo designs which will be shown at a future public meeting.
McArthur is confident they can up with something better.
"They're pros. These guys have won awards, Cinnamon Toast New Media, right? They know what they're talking about. It's a real tough gig trying to come up with a logo that's going to please everybody. It's impossible. It's really hard to find a common ground. What I said, I think it holds true, I was looking forward to loving it and I didn't.," he says.
Council will revisit the issue at its February 25 meeting.
