The new Land Lover admission rates at Adventure Bay in downtown Windsor have made a big splash.
New reduced rates for adults who want to go to the park to supervise their child but not swim, were implemented back in February.
Adventure Bay Manager Jen Knights says since then, 3,200 people have taken advantage of it.
She says park officials are thrilled.
"We have been overwhelmed with the response to our new price points and our new membership options and as of the end of July, we have had 3200 people take advantage of our new Land Lover Rate," says Knights. "What we are finding is guests who are coming and have children old enough to be in the park safely on their own are able to come and sit, relax and if it is not their thing to swim, they can bring a book, an ipad or device."
"The comments we are getting back from guests who are coming and taking advantage of it is basically they don't necessarily want to come down and swim every time, their children are old enough to be in the park on their own but they prefer to be there for the family atmosphere and for lots of different reasons," she says.
The rate for an adult non-swimmer is $5 for the full day and $2 after 4pm.
