The Kids First Kitchen has been brought to life thanks to a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
On Thursday, the Windsor Family Homes and Community Partnerships met with a representative of MPP Lisa Gretzky to celebrate $149,200 Resilient Communities Fund Grant from the OTF.
The project was completed on April 19, and will give children, youth, and adults in the community improved access to programs and events at the Organization for years to come.
In addition to the Kids First Kitchen, the grant was used to overhaul the exterior of a severely dated building, including a mural by local artist Derkz.
The Centre is accessed by a variety of community members for food bank, recreation programs, and children's day camps.
Windsor Family Homes and Community Partnerships is committed to preserving this space and ensuring that it remains accessible for many community activities.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Government of Ontario, and one of Canada's leading granting foundations.
Last year, OTF invested over $110-million into 1,022 community projects and partnerships.
