A Leamington company is looking to spread some holiday cheer.
Nature Fresh Farms is looking for at least two dozen families in need to give them a $500 gift card for food, gifts and essentials, plus a $200 food basket.
It is looking for people to nominate families at www.naturefresh.ca/holiday-giveway.
Marketing Manager Kara Badder says Nature Fresh will give the family a gift worth $700.
"Every family who is nominated and chosen will receive a $500 gift card that can be used towards toys, essentials, extra food basically whatever they need and also $200 worth of food," says Badder.
She says all of the information about the family in need will remain confidential.
"It is important for us that we are not sharing the stories, because I know some families don't want to nominate people because they are afraid that they get out information that people don't want shared so that's really important to us too," says Badder.
This is the first time the company is doing this type of giveaway in Windsor-Essex.
Nominations close December 6th and the items will be delivered before Christmas.
