Looking to give back to families this holiday season.
Nature Fresh Farms, together with Ketler Farms and South Essex Fabricating, have announced their annual Holiday Giveaway which is committed to helping 35 deserving families make this a memorable holiday season.
Winners of the Holiday Giveaway will receive a holiday food basket and cash award, which officials say together is valued at $700.
Nature Fresh Farms, based in Leamington, has grown to become one of the largest independent greenhouse produce growers in Canada.
Communications manager Krysta Markham says they're encouraging community members to nominate anyone they feel could benefit this holiday season.
"Deserving members that they feel could benefit from this can be nominated at NatureFresh.ca," she continued. "Nominations are being accepted from now until December 1, then we receive those, and we have a team that puts it all together and contacts the lucky recipients."
Markham says the holiday baskets will have things everyone needs around this time of year.
"That incorporates the gift cards, as well as a food basket that incorporates some of the local produce that we grow right here at Nature Fresh Farms. As well as some turkey and ham and all of the fixings that you need for a beautiful holiday festive dinner with the friends and family."
She says once the nomination window closes, their team will review the submissions.
"Usually by about a week and a half after that we reach out to the families that are the lucky recipients of this giveaway, and then we're doing a pickup for them on December 22," Markham said.
