The Washington Nationals are halfway to their first World Series championship.
They scored 10 late runs to crush the Houston Astros 12-3 in Game Two of the MLB Fall Classic at Minute Maid Park.
Kurt Suzuki snapped a 2-all tie with a solo homer to ignite a six-run seventh inning for the Nationals.
Adam Eaton and Michael Taylor also homered, and Asdrubal Cabrera drove in three runs for Washington.
Stephen Strasburg pitched six innings of two-run ball for the win. Justin Verlander took the loss.
Alex Bregman and Martin Maldonado homered for Houston. Washington leads the best-of-seven MLB series 2-0 and will host Game Three Friday.
