A Windsor father is warning other parents to be aware after his daughter stepped on a nail-filled board left hidden in a city park.
It happened Sunday afternoon in Realtor Park just off Edgar St. in the Riverside area.
Dennis Godfrey says he was kicking a soccer ball in the park with his two daughters when one of them had her leg fall into a hole.
When she pulled her foot out, a board with eight nails hammered to it was stuck in her foot, with one of the nails puncturing her toe.
Godfrey says the hole where the nail-filled board had been placed was camouflaged with sticks and pieces of grass.

After what happened, he's telling parents to check the area where their kids are playing.
"You're cautious everywhere you go, now you can't even go into the park into your own backyard, you have to be cautious there also. It's ridiculous that someone went through this trouble to try to harm somebody," says Godfrey.
Windsor police were contacted by Godfrey who says he was told it might be tough to find out who actually placed the nail-filled board in the hole.
