A handful of high school track and field athletes are heading home with triple medals from the WECSSAA meet at Alumni Field.
Today is the final day of the event that's a qualifier for the SWOSSAA meet in a couple of weeks.
Tecumseh Vista Grade 9 student Gage Marshall came first in 3 events yesterday: "it feels great, yeah, it's nice to come across first I guess"
Josh Woghiren is on the Herman 4-by-400 metre team that broke a 7 year old record today: "feels good because I've been training with these guys since I was in grade school we've been looking forward to this since we were in grade 9and it feel really good"

Grade 10 Sandwich runner Karlie Moore placed first in 3 events, and like hurdles the best: "my goal for this meet was just to PB, my friend Breah has been coming at me really hard in the 3 hurdles we've been training a lot together so I wasn't sure if I was going to win or not but I pulled it out and it was pretty close"
The other runners on the Herman relay team are William McBride, Patrick Quinland and Dante Lewis. The team whose record they beat included Brandon McBride, RJ Calhoun, Milos Savic, Charles Johnson.
Meet organizers says they were fortunate to have 3 great days for weather at the Alumni Field at the University of Windsor.
