Police have laid a long list of charges after stopping a "red light runner" in downtown Windsor.
Just after midnight Wednesday morning, police witnessed a vehicle run through a red light at the intersection of Ouellette Ave. and Park St.
Police stopped a green Ford Taurus which officers say had two different license plates, neither of which were registered to the vehicle.
Officers then learned an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old female in the vehicle both had outstanding warrants and arrested the pair on the spot.
A search of the vehicle also turned up a quantity of suspected cannabis, cannabis edibles, and psilocybin.
18-year-old Robert Main is charged with possession of suspected cannabis for the purpose of selling, possession of suspected psilocybin, breach of recognizance, failing to stop at a red light and use of a licence plate not authorized for vehicle.
A 17-year-old female from Windsor is charged with possession of suspected cannabis for the purpose of selling it, possession of suspected psilocybin and breach of recognizance. She can not be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
