Changes are taking place at Caesars Windsor.
The casino has announced a "Property Enhancement Plan" which includes a multi-million dollar investment in its hotel.
Starting in early 2018, all 389 rooms in the Forum tower will be remodeled.
"There are lots of places where people can stay in the market but we are the only four-diamond property in the city, so people have an expectation when they come here." says Caesars Windsor Spokesperson Jhoan Baluyot.
She says the renovations will include a complete remodel of the rooms from furniture and finishings.
The plan also includes the immediate closure of the Artist Cafe which affects 30 full-time and part-time staff.
"Layoffs are always a last resort," says Regional President of Caesars Entertainment Kevin Laforet. "After careful consideration of all of our options, we have made this difficult decision. Caesars Windsor must remain competitive to ensure the overall health of our business and secure jobs of more than 2,500 employees into the future."
It is also expanding hours of operation for Legends Sports Bar.
In the past two years, Caesars has seen the openings of Augustus 27 and Ariius Nightclub and the complete renovation of two restaurant outlets.
