Windsor West New Democrat MP Brian Masse has raised concerns over the Boeing 737 Max 8 and Max 9 planes grounded at Windsor Airport.
He has written a letter to Transport Minister Marc Garneau asking about a full, public and accountable plan on how to handle the planes.
Last Wednesday, Minister Garneau grounded all the Boeing 737 planes in Canadian airspace due to safety concerns following the recent deadly crash in Ethiopia.
12 of the planes are now being housed at the maintenance facility at Windsor International Airport.
"If there is going to be problems with the planes and the servicing of them is required, will it take place in the facility at Windsor airport or will they be flown somewhere else to do so and if that is the case, what emergency preparedness will be taking place?" Asks Masse.
"The planes have had trouble and takeoff is the issue. We don't want to be alarmists, but at the same time, it is very appropriate to have public information, a plan and a timetable at least some expectations of what is going to take place."
He says the planes won't be in Windsor forever, so when they do leave, he wants to know what is going to be the expectations.
"I think that is a reasonable approach for our community to have," he says.

Masse also wants to know if there is a cost to the municipality for hosting the planes.
He also points out that Windsor Airport doesn't normally see those planes and the volume of planes.
