A Windsor councillor is looking to ease traffic congestion for residents in his ward.
Ward 9's Hilary Payne has asked the city to put a report together seeing if it's possible to put up traffic lights at two intersections, Cabana Road and Devonwood and Lone Pine and Provincial Road.
He says he's hearing from residents in the Devonwood subdivision saying they're having a tough time getting out of the subdivision.
"I've got between 15 to 20 emails already from residents which is a very large number, you normally don't get that many. I think there's 160 or 170 residents in that subdivision which is kind of caught between those two streets," says Payne.
Payne feels it will be harder for residents to leave the subdivision once the new fire hall on Provincial opens and once construction begins on Cabana Road.
A report will be brought back to council later this year.
