Don't put away that rock-salt and shovel just yet, there's more snow on the way for Windsor-Essex.
That's according to The Weather Network's Doug Gilham.
Mother Nature dumped close to 10cm of snow on the region over the weekend — and while things have quieted down heading into Wednesday's commute — Gilham warned AM800's Patty Handysides not to get too comfortable on The Afternoon News.
"We get a brief break but, we have a bit of a parade lined up," he says. "We have another system on the way for Friday and more snow on the way for the weekend."
It may not be a huge storm, but Gilham says snow will begin to pile-up.
"It's a very small but potent system. This one being smaller means that we'll have a big range in accumulation across southwestern Ontario," says Gilham. "It will lay down a narrow strip of some moderate snow once again."
There is some relief on the horizon, he added.
"The pattern does relax a bit next week, it's going to be milder than this week, we'll even go above freezing Tuesday and Wednesday," he says. "However, winter is by no means over."
Up to 15-cm of snow could fall on Windsor-Essex over the weekend.
