It appears LaSalle is growing again.
On Tuesday, town council was presented with a draft plan for a new subdivision near Laurier Pkwy. between Howard Ave. and Huron Church Ln.
The plan for the Sterling Lakes Development calls for more than 900 residential lots for single detached, semi-detached and town houses.
Mayor Marc Bondy says the timing couldn't be better.
"The demand is hot right now," says Bondy. "LaSalle has been hot for a few years and hopefully we can get this development and get phase one going by the fall and they'll be doing construction in the spring."

Bondy adds the development includes more than houses.
"It's 40 acres of parkland," says Bondy. "The pond itself for the water, surface water is 25 acres in size. Apartment buildings, industrial, commercial this is a little community within the town, it's great."
The development will be done in phases and could take more than 10-years to complete.
Council has approved the draft plan. It will now head to the county for approval.
If approved by the county, LaSalle council will have to re-zone the property and approve the site plan.
