Attendance continues to climb this summer at Street Help Homeless Centre in Windsor.
Administrator Christine Wilson-Furlonger says the centre on Wyandotte Street East is seeing an average of 300 users per day.
She says last summer, the centre saw 200 users.
Wilson-Furlonger says she is surprised with the increase.
"It's just such a traumatic amount in one summer increase," says Wilson-Furlonger. "If it had been a steady flow because for the 18 years we've been open we've seen our number grow over the years but nothing not amazing."
Wilson-Furlonger says the sudden increase is also impacting the food bank and other services the centre provides.
She says the centre will be reaching out to it's donors, something it traditionally doesn't do in the summer months.
