More homes are going to be built in LaSalle.
D'Amore Development is moving ahead with the next next two phases of a subdivision off Huron Church Line Rd. between Cousineau Rd. and Sixth Conc.
Owner Scott D'Amore believes there is a demand for the lots with a number of single detached homes and townhouses to be built.
He's looking forward to get the shovels in the ground.
"We have phase eight which is 36 single-family units, so single family homes which I think is fantastic to get that in here in our development," says D'Amore. "The other thing is we have phase nine going in which is 133 units where 37 of them are single-family and the balance are townhouses and semi-detached which as we know has become very popular in this day in age for consumers."
The goal is to begin construction in spring 2019.
"Hope to get the agreements finalized with the township and get out there and get digging over the winter so that when the spring comes we can be digging those basements and getting ready to welcome more residents to lovely Town of LaSalle," says D'Amore.
He believes the lots will sell pretty quick.
"The market we've been blessed here, has been outstanding and I think the Town of LaSalle, for their part, has done an amazing job of developing a township and a community the people want to be apart of," says D'Amore.
Since the initial phase of construction began in 1999, 1,100 homes have been built in that subdivision.
