As the clean-up continues in the wake of last week's flooding in Windsor, Tecumseh and Lakeshore, more help has arrived. The Christian relief and development organization 'Samaritan's Purse' has set up a base of operations in Tecumseh.
Program Manager Steve Elliott says they are ready and willing to help seniors, single parents, low-income families or individuals and those with limited or no insurance. "We have the tools that are required to clean and remove debris including power tools, hand tools and health and safety equipment."
And, while they have all the gear, Elliott says they are looking for volunteers to use it. If you can help or are in need of assistance cleaning up, you can visit the Samaritan's Purse trailer at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Amy Croft Drive or visit the group's web site at http://samaritanspurse.ca.
