Another round of cancellations and postponements at Caesars Windsor.
On day 33 of a strike by casino workers, a statement from management says "Caesars Windsor is making the difficult yet necessary decision to cancel hotel reservations and postpone Total Rewards promotions scheduled for the remainder of May."
Additionally, Pitbull (May 25th), Lee Brice (May 26th) and Daniel O'Donnell (May 27th) shows have also been postponed — new dates have yet to be determined.
Hotel reservations booked through May 31st have been cancelled, guests will be contacted by phone or e-mail.
A statement from Unifor Local 444 says the union continues to push Caesars management to return to the bargaining table.
Local 444 says it has also been communicating with the National Union and the Government Conciliator.
1,345 full time, 567 Part-time and 200 casual employees walked off the job on April 5th.
According to Caesars, the rejected agreement included wage and benefit improvements exceeding 11% over the term, a signing bonus of $1,150 for Full-time, $900
for Part-time and $500 for Casual workers, no take-aways to the Benefit Plan which includes life insurance, prescription drug coverage, vision, dental, orthotics and medical practitioner coverage.
