More Canadians plan to mark Remembrance Day this year.
A poll commissioned by Historica Canada indicates 41 per cent of Canadians plan to attend a Remembrance Day ceremony.
That's an increase of two per cent over last year, and 14 per cent over 2016.
The survey indicates that the jump could be because of the dwindling numbers of remaining Second World War veterans.
88 per cent of respondents said they think it's important to attend Remembrance Day ceremonies while the oldest vets can still be there.
Historica Canada CEO, Anthony Wilson-Smith, points out that the youngest of those who served in the Second World War are now in their mid-90s and says "this is the time to say thank you and commemorate their service."
