A big boost for summer jobs funding in the riding of Essex.
Tracey Ramsey has announced $690,169 for her riding through the Canada Summer Jobs program.
The money will support local jobs for students between the ages of 15 and 30.
"I am proud that these funds are helping students to find that all important summer job," says Ramsey. "For many young people this provides a vital opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable work experience."
She says the money will also help a lot of local groups including small businesses and not-for-profit employers across Essex.
Canada Summer Jobs 2018/2019 is funding a total 221 jobs, 52,564 employment hours at 52 organizations across the riding, including Community Living Essex, the Kiwanis Camp, and the LaSalle Hangout.
