The Minor Sports Team of the Week is the Windsor Stars Mosquito Major AAA baseball team.
This past weekend the Windsor Stars mosquito major team won the FAAST May Bash Tournament in Commerce.
The boys showed tremendous teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship for their first tournament of the year.
They won their first two games with scores of 12-2 and 16-1.
This gave them 1st place which earned them a bye into the championship against the Washtenaw Senators. It was a tough battle until the last inning when the bats came alive and the Stars won 16-6.
Each member of the team receives a $10 Canadian Tire Gift Card and a certificate. And the Team receives an additional $50 Canadian Tire gift card for equipment.
