A funding boost for the Mettawas Park Development Project in Kingsville.
The Honey Family Foundation Endowment Fund at the Windsor-Essex Community Foundation has presented a cheque worth $10,000 to the town.
The money will be used to purchase a swing set in the 10-acre development. Additional recreational plans include a splash pad, gardens, trails, playground areas, gazebo and picnic shelters.
Kingsville Mayor Nelson Santos calls it a "gracious donation" that will give residents a natural place to gather, play and connect to a part of Kingsville's history.
The site was once home to the Mettawas Casino.
