A legacy project of the 2017 Memorial Cup in Windsor has put a smile on the faces of children at the John McGivney Children's Centre.
Nine rooms are now considered "smilezones" at the centre and have been renovated with bright murals, bright coloured walls, ipads have been installed and there is even an interactive floor which is easy to use for children in wheelchairs or use walkers.
The renovations are thanks to the Smilezone Foundation, the Windsor Spitfires and Canadian Hockey League.

Krisztina Muscat's 10-year old daughter Vanessa attends the centre and says it helps the children stay focused on playing.
"When we are coming to appointments with our children, we are stressed and worried," she says. "We are trying to keep our children calm and coming into these zones is just amazing."
Smilezone Foundation Member Scott Bachly says the smilezones are for kids, about kids and to benefit kids which is the reason the foundation does not release the cost of the renovations.

The renovations to the nine rooms were transformed over a weekend.
Smilezones were also created at the Windsor Children's Aid Society.
